Something old, something new, something borrowed…Something Blue!

Has been a long standing tradition, dating back the Victorian Era. The most popular version of this traditional English rhyme lists four tokens of good luck, something old represents continuity, something new represents optimism for the joint future, something borrowed from a happily married friend or family member to ensure happiness. Something blue, this last token has a deep meaning. While the rhyme may only date back to the late early 1800s the symbolic meaning of the color blue has roots as far back as the ancient Romans who believed blue signified fidelity, modesty and most importantly love.

Natalie K recognizes the importance of keeping tradition and becoming an integral part of your special day. With that in mind we created our stunning Something Blue Collection. The designer black gown made quite the statement, but Shenae isn’t the first to don a dark frock. Fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker made the same choice in 1997. A black gown can offer a dark and mystical allure, and can make a lasting impression.  This gown, by Monique Lhullier, retainsa lady like silhouette despite the shadowy tone. The stunning all over texture also makes a gorgeous addition.
