Hot Trends for Summer Weddings

summer wed

With the temperature rising and Summer weddings right around the corner make your ceremony and reception as hot as your love. Celebrity event planner Brian Worley goes over the trends heating up for the season. “Go Bright!” says Brian, “Weddings that use these bright colors will be a bit more whimsical and have a playful, not-so-serious theme.” Bright floral colors will add a pop, when mixed with linens in contrasting colors and patterned linens. The “Restoration Hardware” trend is also making an entrance, unlike the pop of the brights this is a more rustic approach using browns, ivory, and grey. “It’s about taking something new that has a modern and eclectic twist” Brian says, mixing luxurious furniture pieces with thick and natural textures create a “sturdy, refined and stylized look.” Lastly the “Art Deco” motif is making a splash, a black and white color palette with pearl accents will be the staples of this Roaring Twenties style revival.

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I have loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.” — Nicholas Sparks The Notebook

Loving another infuses life with meaning and value. A common life becomes extraordinary when the right one comes along. Once you have found the one you want to share forever with, your commitment should be celebrated with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind engagement ring.

To create an ethereal and angelic feel to match the halo around your new diamond ring consider donning a floral halo of your own. For a spring wedding consider a floral garland to crown your head and accompany your veil. Artsy Wedding Blog suggests “You can choose to head to a florist to have one made especially for you and/or your bridesmaids and flower girls to wear on your wedding day.” This gives you more time to focus on other details for your special day. However, If you are going for a DIY aesthetic, you also have the option of creating one yourself. “This allows you to select exactly the type of flower(s) you want and have them arranged in the exact way you’ve envisioned them to be.” You can arrange the perfect wreath with only a few tools: Floral wire, measuring tape, wire cutter, florist tape, fresh flowers, scissors, a spray bottle, water, and ribbon.
